OEM / ODM Services

OEM / ODM Services

We offer integrated design and manufacturing services. Our factory handles product R&D, pattern design, structural development, pattern making, material selection, and process engineering. Clients can choose from our factory’s existing, market-proven styles for private labeling, or modify and upgrade these existing designs — you focus solely on branding and sales.

What Is OEM vs ODM?

  • OEM: Client provides the concept or sample; we manufacture to your specification.
  • ODM: Factory provides designs and original patterns; client selects, modifies, and private-labels the products.

Ideal for cross-border sellers, startup brands, and traders — no need to build an in-house design and development team, saving time and cost on new-product R&D.

I. ODM Cooperation Models

1. ODM with Modifications to Existing Stock (Most Common)

Clients select the factory’s established patterns and existing designs, make minor modifications, and apply their own brand.

  • Scope of modification: colors, fabric weight, logos, accessories/trims, minor dimensional adjustments, print patterns, and branding (hangtags, neck labels, packaging).
  • Advantages: no new pattern from scratch; rapid prototyping, low costs, accessible MOQs.
  • Suitable for: rapid product launches, market testing, and cross-border platforms (Alibaba, independent sites, Temu, Amazon).

2. ODM with Significant Modifications

Major changes to the factory’s existing structure: adjusting patterns, adding/removing functions, altering structural details, specialized fabrics, or new manufacturing techniques. Requires new pattern making; longer lead times and higher cost.

3. Original ODM (Development from Scratch)

Based on your market positioning and target audience, our designers handle the entire process from scratch — style design, pattern making, fabric selection, and process planning — to create a brand-new product. Copyright ownership can be assigned to the client by agreement. High investment and long lead times; ideal for exclusive “hit” products.

II. ODM Customization Options

1. Product Body

  1. Style selection: choose from our library of mature, ready-made ODM designs.
  2. Fabric & material: change fabrics, adjust weight (GSM), apply functional treatments (anti-pilling, moisture-wicking, etc.).
  3. Sizing system: customize size charts (US/EU, plus sizes); fine-tune length, sleeves, fit.
  4. Color: Pantone or sample matching; multi-color options.
  5. Craftsmanship: stitching, pockets, drawstrings, zippers, linings, reinforcement.

2. Brand Logo & Graphics

  • Techniques: embroidery, heat transfer, digital printing, screen printing, embossing.
  • Placement: fully customizable.
  • Graphics/slogans: replaceable with your own designs.

Note: original ODM print designs belong to the factory and cannot be reused directly as client brand graphics — they must be replaced.

3. Packaging & Accessories (Cross-Border Ready)

Neck labels, care labels, hangtags, product certificates; polybags, color boxes, outer cartons, FBA shipping labels, multilingual manuals; neutral and platform-compliant packaging supported.

III. Sampling, MOQ & Lead Time

Sampling

  • Simple modifications (logo/color): 3–5 days
  • Significant modifications (pattern/fit): 5–8 days
  • New ODM development from scratch: 7–12 days

Sampling fees charged upfront and refunded on bulk order placement. A “sealed sample” is set on approval; bulk production strictly follows it.

MOQ Reference

  • Simple modifications: 200–300 units/style
  • Extensive modifications: 500 units/style
  • Original ODM development: 800–1,000 units/style

MOQ negotiable for long-term key clients or consolidated multi-style orders.

Production Lead Time

  • Simple modifications: 7–12 working days
  • Extensive modifications: 12–18 working days
  • New product development: 15–22 working days

Expedited scheduling available for urgent orders.

IV. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality

The biggest pitfall in ODM: selling the same style to multiple clients, leading to product clashes.

  • Non-exclusive ODM: client private-labels a factory standard design; the factory may still sell it to others. Lower cost, but risk of market overlap.
  • Exclusive ODM: upon exclusivity fee or agreed volumes, the factory commits not to supply the design to others — making the style yours exclusively. Confidentiality agreements signed.

✅ For cross-border business, choose exclusive ODM when possible to avoid price competition from identical products. Client logos and patterns are kept strictly confidential; NDAs can be signed.

V. Complete ODM Workflow

  1. Requirement discussion: target markets, positioning, budget, quantity, desired style
  2. Factory provides ODM catalog; client selects a prototype
  3. Confirm modifications and issue a quote
  4. Arrange sample production
  5. Client approves and seals the final sample
  6. Sign contract (exclusivity, IP, quality, delivery)
  7. Pay deposit; procure materials; schedule production
  8. Mass production with real-time photos; on-site or third-party inspection supported
  9. Quality passed; pay balance and ship
  10. Re-orders: pattern files archived — no new sampling needed

VI. Qualifications & Certifications

  • SGS quality inspection reports
  • BSCI factory audit support
  • GRS / GOTS fabric certification compatibility
  • Product certificates & multi-language care labels for Amazon, Temu, Alibaba and other platforms
